Forest School is an approach to learning which promotes personal and social development through play and experiences in the outdoors. Forest school is an approach to learning which promotes personal and social development through play and experiences in the outdoors. At Long Lawford, we believe that all children should have meaningful access to the outdoors. We hope that by providing these positive experiences, children will develop a life long love of being active outdoors. The forest school curriculum has four main strands: Understanding the natural world, creativity and construction, Bush craft skills and Team work and communication. These themes are included in all sessions, these will develop as the children progress through the school.
