Geography
At Long Lawford Primary School, we believe that Geography is an essential subject in Primary School to enable a broad and rich curriculum. Geography is so important for children, regardless of their age or stage of learning. Geography helps them to make sense of the world around them and piques their curiosity in places and people. It engages the children in their world, often spurring them into action, and is fun!
Our rich and balanced Geography curriculum focuses on both skills and knowledge being taught in conjunction with one another. These skills and knowledge are built upon year on year by both teachers and pupils.
“Geography explains the past, illuminates the present and prepares us for the future. What could be more important than that?” - Michael Palin 2007
