History

At Long Lawford Primary School, we believe that History is an essential subject in Primary School to enable a broad and rich curriculum.  ​

It helps children to make sense of the present as well as the past and enables them to appreciate the diverse nature and complexity of different human societies.

Our rich and balanced History curriculum focuses on both skills and knowledge being taught in conjunction with one another. These skills and knowledge are built upon year on year by both teachers and pupils. 

History at Long Lawford

History lessons are taught at least every half term but during a Historically based topic it is taught much more and significant links are made with other subjects, for example English, Maths, Art and DT.
